82 XJ750 Maxim side cover (plastics)... any others fit?

    Does anyone know if any other years/models side covers will fit an 82 XJ750J?

    If you are referring to the engine side covers which are also called point covers which have YICS on them, then any of the 650 or 750 engines will have the same covers. The "frame" side covers which have Maxim on them are only for the 750. But any year 750 would have the right ones.
    I actually have a spare point cover but it has a little road rash. Let me know if you are interested.

    I was talking about the frame side covers. You're saying any year 750 will fit? I assume it would have to be a maxim, is this correct?

    I know that 82 and 83 are the same but not sure of any other years. Maxim only I think Seca is different.

    Yes I meant the Maxim's. The 82 thru 84 will fit. The 84 was only available in Canada. The Maxim X 750 will not fit. Neither will the 700cc models.
