Hi. I bought a set of K&L carb repair kit, and I need help identifying these two pieces, as to what they are and where they should go.

it's the 2 items on the right that is in question: a round rubber thing like a gasket, and a button-like piece.

apologize for my ignorance. somebody else took apart my carburetor and I am trying to put them back together.

    Thanks. any help is appreciated:

The o-ring is an incorrect piece, it's not needed on your carbs. Why K&L puts it in their kits is beyond me.

The round disc is a block-off cap for the pilot circuit mixture screw, which you don't want to use, as it makes access to the mixture screw (which needs periodic adjusting) impossible.

I think the o - ring goes on the drain screw.

Hitachi carbs don't use a drain screw o-ring, and only some of the Mikuni carbs do............

P.S. the K&L kits used to contain a needle that is too long (it's about 1mm longer than the stock needle) and it screws up the original geometry of the float/needle/seat arrangement.......meaning they will leak, and no amount of adjustment can solve the issue. I don't know if they have resolved that issue. If the needle in that kit is longer than the stock needle, then you may experience much frustration with getting it to work properly......

Thanks for the warning. I have not been back in the garage yet to work on it. Been busy with the other life. :)
