550 seca guage question

    I have my gauge cluster off and disassembled for winter cleaning and lubing. When I move the cluster side to side the needle on the voltmeter moves. Is this normal? The voltmeter works but jumps when hitting bumps while riding. All connections look good.

    You probably need a new(ish) voltmeter. Although they do jump around a bit, it shouldn't be reacting to bumps.

    I can probably help; I think I have more than a few good extras. Gotta dig. Stay tuned.
