This is what’s happening. The bike starts easy as fast as you can say go. After about six seconds when the RPMs pick up the starter engages. This is what I have tried. I know it is not a sticking solenoid I used a booster box to power the starter to start the bike with the power wire removed. I did an oil change using Rotla T 15w 40 oil that I always use. Is there a starter clutch. This doesn't happen everytime I start the bike. I just did a color tune session without any problems must have started the bike eight times with on problem. I hope this just a fluke.

There is a starter clutch, but it doesn't (can't) work "in reverse" (unless the motor is turning backward.) It pretty much HAS to be electrical.
