I bought my XJ700 and it has these crappy midi shocks that do not support my weight. I am 280... does anyone have any insight into whether the stock XJ700 shocks would work.. or know of a way to modify the midi shocks with new springs?

Please send help... i don't wanna spend 300 on new shocks right just yet... I am just trying to ge the thing up and running to get some more experience under my belt.

A good used set of stock shocks will be fine for your weight. The problem though is getting a used set that's good.
Your's aren't going to be upgradeable, or even worth upgrading.
