    My wife and i wanted to send a heart felt thank you to all who have served . We are both combat veterans and wanted to say thank you . To our men and women of the north (in canada ) we thank you as well Seem's you have been at our nations side in every major conflict going way back .

    Well said Scrubby. Some people forget...Veterans day is to celebrate the living Soldiers and Memorial day is to remember those that have died.

    Yes its sad how some have gone. Even more disturbing is the fact that some people and groops protest the funeral of a fallen brother or sister in arms. War is hell but sometimes the hell is waiting in your future... said by a senior drill instructor at fort Knox.

    I have two burial flags here one from my dad one from my sister . Yes it is sad to see someone survive so many tours only to come home and loose the battle of life in such ways . I remember the brothers served with and i lost i beruit every day , and salute the dead and living on both memorial day , and veterans day .

    All too often when eating out i see a veteran eating and pick up his check as words and actions are all i can offer as thanks . i try to thank every veteran i see every day but that's just me . Happy memorial day !
