I wouldn't be using them for racing like the guy on Google but I'm a little shy ordering even custom pistons. Ordered a set for a different project from Ross Pistons and had a ton of problems, not to mention a 6 month wait. The project is still not complete due to the pistons.

I'd email mr chacal, he has probably already scoped them out as a possible supplier to himself....

There is a major flaw with that big bore kit.
Stock bore on the 750 is 65mm. The big bore pistons are 68 mm. With a 3mm overbore the liners be come to thin to be reliable. To use the big bore kit reliably you would have to install new liners also. Not included with the kit.

Also note that the big bore kit does not include all the necessary gaskets. Only the head gasket.

Any feedback from chacal. I was also about to pull the trigger after searching high and low for Wiseco or Yoshimura aftermarket big bores. Like you I wont be running any GPs with the old XJ but would like to think a new set of pistons would outlast me.

Thanks gunna. I have the auction cutoff bookmarked but I have seen these listed previously and not sold. I think the guy sets the reserve price just under the asking price and never makes the reserve. I am a bit suss on the ad though, no photo and all prices quoted in US$ when the products are right here in Oz.

I can't really say I know a whole lot about the cost of pistons but $130 seems a bit low for something of real quality.
