Hi everyone. It's cool to see so many people from NZ and Australia.
Well sadly the time has cone to sell my fav bike, I joined the board around 2008 looking for info on these great bikes!
I also have an FJ1100 and while it is faster and handles better over 100kms, the XJ is so much fun to ride, corners like its on rails, is nimble and so flickable!
I have added the link, wish me luck...
Well the bike found a good home in Western Aussie, the new owner seems very keen on riding her more than me. I still have my FJ1100 to keep me happy, but sadly my XJ days are over. One of the best bikes I ever rode, quick, great handling, easy to maintain and reliable.... but the debt bug was bitting too much, she had to go.
While I was going over all the manuals I had collected over the years I came across some that are pretty handy.

Hi guys, a bit late to the piece but I have just become the owner of a 1981 XJ650H project (to go with all the others ) and am looking forward to the challenge of the resto, just to save another one of these great bikes going down the cafe/brat/bobber route. I am based on the Central Coast of NSW.
Is there any guys in oz with restos on the boil?
Hi John, I am slowly doing a 550, in SA. Its been a slow process
