I have been having alot of carb problems lately on my 1983 XJ750. Fouled plugs, cyclinders dropping out, being stranded on the side of the road. I started reading thru hundreds of carb forums. I then repaired my manifolds, adjusted my carbs, bench butterfly sync. then air/fuel mix.. Still need to vaccum sync them, but I will have to tell you, these bikes are beasts. I cant believe what I have missed since I got the bike 3 months ago. I was used to the feel of a 1970's water buffalo. Even without the fine tuning of the vaccum sync, my bike runs fantastic. Now when I twist it, I have to hang on... Thanks to all the people that gave helpfull forums....

I guess you're experiencing the thrill of the 80s ;D

With the vacuum sync, I bet you're gonna have a much better experience.

You did mention one thing that cought my attention...
Cylinders dropping out; what do you reckon was the cause there?

    Btw... nice blue!

I suppose it was the dry rotted manifolds sucking lots of air, and the carbs being out of wack and fouled plugs. Nice carb tune, platinum plugs...shes strong now...your right...cant wait til I get them sync'd and thanks for the compliment...I love spray paint...haha
