    Rusty brake lines?? Bring a plate glass from a picture frame to check for tweaked forks and a compression tester.

    Budget in tires, brakes, fork and carb rebuild, a muffler, a gas tank . . . I'm scared !

    Why would I change the muffler and gas tank? I couldn't care less about a few dents. I just want a commuter. I'm expecting carb rebuild and brakes going into it.

    The glass Time is referring to is to lay across the fork tubes to see if they are tweaked. Emphasize all the work that needs to be done & I'm betting they'll take maybe $300 cash. Go for it.
