Back in July of '09 I bought a pair of Blauer "motorcycle cop" rain pants because they were (and still are) the only high-quality, separate rain pants I could find that come in TALL sizes.

They're well made, work great, and I've worn them without issue for the past four seasons, etc.

When I pulled them out of storage this year I discovered that the rubberized coating on the inside had inexplicably turned all gooey and sticky and they could no longer be worn.

So I sent Blauer an email wondering if they had seen this before, did I do something wrong, in general, WTF? I realized being four years old they were well past any warranty; and I told them I understood that and would probably even buy another pair, but I was trying to figure out what had happened.

They sent me a brand new pair of rain pants, no charge.
