I've lurked here for a while so thought I'd finally say hello.

I'm about 15 miles north of Kansas City in a small town and picked up a 1983 XJ750K last year. It's in decent shape, had new tires and a new battery and runs out pretty good. I've resealed the front forks and swapped out a bad speedo for a good one so far and will be changing out the valve cover gasket and adjusting the valves in the near future.

I've had Harleys for the last ten or so years but the last one had to go in a divorce. I have to say riding the Yamaha is a lot nicer in some respects. First, it's quiet and second it handles one hell of a lot better than an Electra Glide.

I rode my Harley a fair amount but worked on it and spent a ton of money on it. Amazing that I just ordered a set of nice grips for 14.00 delivered for the XJ. Used to be on the Harley a set of grips would be at least 50.00.
