Just seen a guy on one of these, they aren't as goofy as you would think.

Ive seen those around. It seems to take the spirit out of riding a motorcycle.

I've wanted to take one for a test ride a couple times but the two dealers must have thought I didn't "look" like I could afford it so no ride!
I even went to one at their open house and they were offering demo rides, but not until that afternoon.
THey are real money!....the standard one was something around $18K IIRC

A lot more like riding a snowmobile instead of a motorcycle from my understanding.

They are quite a lot like riding a very powerful very fast very stable snowmobile with brakes.

It's NOT a motorcycle, by any stretch; what it IS is a ring-tailed HOOT with a 106HP @ 8500rpm 990cc Rotax V-twin and weighing just under 700lbs., they powerslide and throttle steer quite nicely.

If I could afford one I'd be locked up within a week of taking delivery.

I wanted one (in my dreams) before I got my xj750.

I'd still take one but wife is willing/able to ride bitch so I don't NEED a 3 Wheeler or 2 Wheeler with towing training wheels....

I do have a Hot Wheels of one :p

ATM I dream of a 19k royal venture instead or vmax

When the subject of "3-wheelers" came up, I was afraid Wiz had seen one of these: http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Mo ... assic.html

Ya gotta give HD credit for closely watching what people do to/with their bikes. Those things have been increasing in popularity as kits and now here's the factory jumping in.

This doesn't look like nearly as much fun as I know the Spyder is...

Seen a few of them around here too. At first I thought someone had put wheels on a snowmobile.

I rented a goldwing trike a couple years ago in Vegas because the wife refused to ride a bike. It was big heavy and not much fun. I guess if you get to a point where you need the wheels for balance or a disability then it's better than not riding.

There's a dealer up the road from my place that has a few, and I stopped on my way home to sit on one. They're neat, comfortable...

But I don't know -- even sitting on it, the thing seems to negate all the skill and hard work you've put in to mastering two wheels.

The first one I saw was in Key West (parked) and I've seen another here in Philly (parked, but not since the snow) a few blocks from work. I bet they have all the speed and rocket science of the new bikes, but I agree, it does seem to take out the effort of having to learn how to balance on 2 wheels and ride. Do you even need a motorcycle license to ride one?

The Yamaha dealership in the town close to me has 'em. The technology that goes into 'em seems to be pretty amazing. Wouldn't mind if they would let me borrow on for a week-end but other than that happening......2 wheels FOREVER!!!
