Just curious to hear how many miles are on your maxim/seca 750,and any info on when they need to be rebuild.I bought one from the original owner with 52,000 miles and everything still works well on it.

I got 38k on mine, I just picked her up and put about 400 on myself. Engine sounds off to me a bit, but she runs good and I am going through her and fixing things and all that. Doing valve shims and full carb rebuild next ;-)

I've got a Seca 659 with 38k on it, and my friend had over 50k on his 750 Seca when he sold it to buy something else. All we ever did was the standard stuff: adjust valves with new shims, adjust cam chain (not sure if the 750 does this automatically), sync carbs, new spark plugs. I think his starter brushes finally needed replacement. Like anything, the more it is ridden on a regular basis, and if you store it inside, they should last a very long time.

Had almost 39,000 miles on mine when I sold it. I just had the bottom end apart to replace the starter clutch parts & chain guide. Everything else looked great!

I hit 20k miles this month. I've had it for a year and put 2k of them on it. It's going strong but I do need to replace the valve cover gasket when I chekc the clearances.

Just rolled over 48K. No major problems to speak of.
