how much fork oil do i put in ?

    im still waiting to get my xjcd , but do any of u guys know how much fork oil and what weight to put in ?

    my xj750rh manual says: 309cc (10.5 oz ) each side, Yamaha fork oil 20 Wt or equivalent.
    the xj650g manual says: 262cc ( 9.24 oz ) each side, Yamaha fork oil 10 Wt or equivalent.

    If you don't want to go to all the trouble of measuring it out that amounts to filling it up to within 6" of the top with the spring installed and the fork tube all the way down inside.

    If you want to practice doing and oil change on my forks, brakes and shaft you more than welcome to do my bikes. I can sit was watch over you.

    I even have a manual.

    nah its cool thanks, ive allready changed the fork and engine, just have to do the final drive oil this weekend . :wink:
