I NEED HELP

    I HAVE A 95 xj600s and the clutch won't work at all when you pull the clutch their is not tension in the cable or on the shaft and it won't engage the bikes runs well and the only way to ride it is to pop start it CAN ANYONE HELP

    that doesn't sound right but anyway, download a shop manual. always get a shop manual. then take the clutch cover off and take a look. it might be the wrong cable, not adjusted right or not put together right inside.

    The shaft coming out of the cover has an index mark that lines up with the lever that attaches to lower end of cable . That may be the problem. Adjust the upper and lower cable adjuster for max slack and reset lever on shaft then adjust lower then upper to correct free play at lever and try again.
    How long has the bike been sitting?

    The other possible is the plates are stuck together and even with cable done right bike wants to launch away with clutch pulled in

    The bike was sitting for a while and yes I did take the clutch case off and the plates were sticking TOGEATHER so I pulled them apart and put them back in and it's still doing the same thing

    put some seafoam into the oil it will help clean off the sludge from the clutch

    you should be looking into getting a new clutch

    The case mark should line up with small mark in lever in first pic
    This is my 750x but is similar to your bike
