Hey guys, I have a question. If my K&N filter recharge kit would clean/oil my Uni foam filter? My main concern is the Oil part in the kit. Is the oil suitable to work on Foam filters :?:

Fitz is correct, there are different oils that are used for foam (UNI) vs. cloth (K&N) filters.........

Thanks for the quick answers guys. I read that you can use regular motor oil (thicker than 30W maybe 40W) or Chainsaw bar oil for foam filters but you have to clean/re-apply Regularly. Would this be a good alternative? Ooor just go on and bite the dust and buy some foam filter oil?

Wish i thought of this question..i have been using K&N filter oil on my new UNI foam filter since April this year with no issues. I took out the filter 2 days ago and seem clean..Would the UNI oil be more thinner..???

I don't think it is a matter of thinner or thicker, but simply material incompatibility. I used K&N oil on my UNI filter and it began to come apart on the outer velcro looking stuff with the slightest touch. I also noticed that the K&N oil just pooled into red splotches on the actual filter instead of spreading out evenly like it does on a K&N.

I dont have that problem, it is spread evenly, even now(after months) wherever i touch i can feel the slight coat of oil. I sprayed and let it sit overnight on a news paper in the begining.
