Hey everyone I’m new to the forum. My Seca is sweet with the exception of hard start. Anyone know a good xj mechanic on Long Island? I can get it started but it’s a battle. I had a friend do the carbs and not sure if that was so prudent after what I’ve read here. I do not have the time myself so any help would be appreciated. 82 Seca with 23000 miles. Thanks Everyone

Hi! By any chance, last four digits of VIN - 3505? It looks very, very familiar. Marc the librarian.

Welcome to the forum. If it is hard to start mine was until I learned about this.

Of course there can be other issues too but this one is a good start (no pun intended). @hogfiddles rebuilds carburettors in fact he has his carb clinic this weekend. Might be worth contacting him if you don't have the time to do the work yourself.
