Just thought I'd post this up to see if there are any others on the forum with high mileage, smaller displacement XJ's. I just rolled the odometer over on my '82 XJ 550 Seca, which I've owned and self maintained since 1987. It had 4,600 km when purchased, now it has finally reached 100,000 km. All original engine with no valvetrain or internal component replacements, just valve clearance adjustments when needed. Still running very strong.

Be interesting to know the mileages of all our bikes in the different engine capacities.

I am the original owner of an 83 XJ550. Just turned 29,700 miles when I parked it at work this week. Still original except for normal maintenance items.

I have an "81 Seca 550. I just rolled over 79,000 kms. this fall. I've been over a good chunk of the USA and Canada on it. However, for the past 8 years or so it has not been running great. OK but not great. I just completed a top end refresh on it. New rings and valve guide seals. Valve faces and seats got a clean up. Not cheap. All parts and battery came to $1,000 CDN. Only got 50 kms on it before winter has set in. Looking forward to spring and tuning up the carbs and having some fun on the old girl.
I ride an '08 FZ1 as my main ride.

I think you'll win this competition - unless there is a courier on here that still has theirs?

Bought my Seca when she was 32 years old with only 20k km on the odometer.
    Now it says: 50+K.
