Quick question...Can I use Anti-sieze, instead of Molybdenum Disulfude Grease, which the manual calls for, for the connecting rods bolts. I'm in the middle of re-assembling my XJ650J engine.

What is the reasoning behind that? and does that apply to all applications or just specifically in regard to internal components?

Galvanic corrosion. The grease mitigates that, but it’s still possible for it to occur.
