    Looks clean and shiny.
Are you happy with the performance after the intake/exhaust mods?
    Are those stock rear shocks?

Thanks. This is the second time ive redone this bike. Yes the shocks are still stock. I would like to get mono shock style eventually. I did the pods last year and it ran great. Had to shim the needles and use larger main jets. Dont remeber what size off hand. I havent got to ride it with the exhaust yet so it still needs fine tuned. It starts right up and idles great. Throttle response is good. At least what i can tell from going up and down my driveway. Need plates and insurance. Ill let you know how it is once i get a chance

This was my first attempt at customization. I went from stock to this.

Do you still have the stock exhaust collector under there? Your pods and exhaust look cool, but I don't have it in me to do all the jetting that goes with them!

The jetting really wasnt that bad. I had it all sorted out and running after about a few hours of actual work and a couple trips to get jets. I could see what size i ended up with if you interested. That is the stock collector. I just cut the mufflers off and welded some moto gp pipes on to it. I was a little unsure after i did it but now that its running it sounds awesome.

No worries, doods! I'm still a long way from that stage in my xj. I am just gathering information in order to plan my build. I like the look of 2 k&n filters and short exhaust, but doubt my carb tuning abilities. I'm leaning towards an attitude of "simpler is better", and the less times I have to go into the carbs, the easier it will be!
