I imagine this is a pretty common question: what's out there as far as a worthwhile (performance improvement-wise) performance exhaust system for a SECA 750?

Along those lines, any experiences as to performance improvement from the MAC 4-into-1 systems?

    Thanks,
    Paul

As a whole system - nothing. There may be some "performance" slip-on mufflers that' you could make work though. I'm pretty sure MAC is the only company actually making exhaust SYSTEMS for our bikes anymore.

As to the performance improvement of the 4-1 pipe -- I've got it on my 650, and it really needed to be rejetted to get the benefit out of it. I noticed a little more top-end, but pretty much no difference low-midrange. Some people report a flat-spot in the midrange after going to the 4-1 pipe -- haven't noticed it personally.

I switched to the mac 4-2-1 and I noticed a little performance increase all around. I am starting to think that the PO installed bigger jets because after the exhaust swap and some engine work she still runs perfect. I even took it in and the yamaha shop said it was running right on. Luck maybe. I tried a muffler from a sportster the other day and it seemed like the bike couldn't breathe. It was sluggish and way too quiet. Sounded like a scooter.
