I bought a new kit to fix my leaky petcock.
    I have a Maxim X 700 and I bought the X 750 kit. Wrong one!
    Way smaller.
Looking for a trade or would like to sell.

Here is what is written on the pack.
    K&L, XJ750, Petcock Rep Kit:YAM, 18-2698.
It's a new kit, I couldn't believe how small it is compared to the 700 petcock. I got it yesterday and paid $21 including ship.
I would like to get my $$ back if I could.

If you order another, Get one for a Kawasaki 440A ltd. You get the diaphram and the plate that goes between them. I just put one on mine. I will get you the number for you when I get to work. Goes right in.
EDIT: part number is 43028-1015. This fits the xj700 petcock.

PM me your PayPal account id. $21 seems fair enough. I'd like to rebuild mine anyway.

Is the xj700 petcock the same on an xj700xn? Im trying to decide to buy a rebuild kit, or buy one of the OEM petcocks listed on the yamaha Parts site.

I read the K&L is bad news for the xj700xn as the oring is too small and the pin won't seat well.

Not intending to hi-jack thread, just would like to order above part if it works.

JRinehart - I don't know, I would assume it is the same if it is the same year.
