    TANK.. The story so far.
The tank had been sealed by a PO with some form of epoxy, I cleaned it & sealed it with KBS, it failed, KBS gave me another kit, it also failed, I had to get the epoxy (2" thick) out of the bottom corners of the tank, so to enable this, I cut an access hatch in the tank, then removed the sealer & epoxy, soldered the holes & seled again with KBS, the gas fumes found a way through the soldered joint at the 'hatch' that never got sealed, I then made the 'bird cage' tank rack, to cover the joint, the fumes found thier way out again, not much, but enough to p@#$ me off, so I stripped it all back & will clean again & seal the upper part around the 'hatch'. I have taken this oppertunity to fit an aircraft style filler, I cut the old filler spout out with a jig saw & will use S/S self tappers to fix the filler & then seal the whole thing with the KBS.
I just noticed this thread has had over 51,000 views, that could be some kind of a record??

I didn't use self tappers, I tapped the tank & used the hex C/S bolts provided.

    You do great work, Wizard.
    That's a thing of beauty.

I think the "what did you do to your Yamaha today" thread has more, though a very nice hit count
