Hey all!! I rebuilt my XJ750 Seca carbs and now when starting cold it doesn't rev up to 2500+with the choke any more! I have to choke it about 25% and then it just barely starts and idles roughly about 1000 rpm!? After a minute or so I can play with the choke and throttle and get it to 2500 or so. Once warm she runs pretty darn good. Stock box and pipes.. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance,Bob!!!! :)

Full rich in the warmer weather may be unnecessary. And one spot in carb bowls may cause a problem. The small port in the bowl is easily clogged and will pose a problem

I don't need enrichment at all most days in the summer, and when I do giving it too much will make her more difficult to start and idle.

Warm weather, I start full choke, once barks, no choke n throttle, add choke till it runs 1/2 or less usually... Try that? :)

If it's warm I crank it and snap the throttle like a 2-stroke, barks up every time!

You shouldn't need any. Of course that depends on what you consider warm to be.

It also depends how well your idle mix is set up.
