I got the two diaphragms I ordered and installed them. Hopefully it will be warm enough this wkend to get a vac balance done. Won't be able to ride it . I have the tank and sides off and being preped for paint. Going with "Storm Grey Metalic duplicolor and then a clearcoat finish. Thinking about hand making "yamaha'' for the tank out of cres or some other unobtanium (aircraft worker). Oughta look good. No idea where the real thing could be had.

The plastic tank badges are hard to come up with. If i had to redo my tank I would just go to a sign compny and have them lazer cut some decals in a nice gold color and stick them on. I think that would look just as good as anything else.

Nice find Rick! $47.50 EACH? Krikey! 2 badges and you just as well buy a new bike!

    They sure are pretty though.

Well that's about 130 bucks or a new set of tires. Think I'll get the tires. After all it says yamaha on the engine.

The easiest and least expensive way of procuring a pair of Yamaha "Tank Badges" ... is to bring-along a Swiss Army Knife and go-along with your daughter when she plays 9-Holes at the Golf Club where they have Yamaha Golf Carts.

"Oh, geeze. I left my lucky universal gizmo on the back of my car. Let me run out to the parking lot, real quick, in this spiffy new Golf Cart, and I'll be back before you can call-in and tell your boss about why your running late."
