Has anyone done this. I know this is rare in a 550 Seca. The clutch will not disengage when started.I have removed the starter and moved the drive gear it will move in both directions with resistance. I have a second motor that works and I get resistance in one direction. I know I have to remove the lower case . Can I flip the motor over and remove the lower case. I do have FSM.

OK I have the cases split. What is the best product to seal the two halfs back together. I haven't got to the starter clutch yet. Need to remove the rotor got the proper puller today.

Loctite 515 or 518 are your friend in this application. It's very easy to work with. Any squeeze out will mix with the oil, and if you get called away before the case halves go together it won't harden.
