Any Seattle / Tacoma people around?
I live in the Spanaway area and try to make it a point to find vintage motorcycle activities.
West Seattle here. Not seeing a whole lot of motorcycle groups on fb though, and apparently not many seattlites here either
A mate of mine moved to Seattle. He says a lot of Seattle people are round. ;-)
can't ride and post on FB at the same time and the winter interuption is for repairs and rebuilds
Looking for any Seattle area folks that may be able to lend me a fork tool for my XJ550 clean-up - the one that separates the tubes from the fork lowers.
an inverted spark plug socket on a long extension can work if you find one the correct size.
I bought the tool from chacal works great and you are talking about the fitting going in from the top correct?
there is also an allen bolt going in from the bottom the which must be freed up first a little heat and i cut off an allen wrench fit it into a socket to get that loose
Tons of Sea/Tac moto people at the following link. Bikes of all shapes, sizes and configurations are welcome. This is a one day monthly event from March-September.
Outside of Yelm.
Just an observation. We recently spent 2 weeks in Washington state. One thing I noticed was that there were quite a few vintage Japanese bikes on the road. It was quite refreshing. Many more than I see here in the Mid Atlantic.
May be a bit of an old thread. I have a 81 Xj750 drag bike, but no street cruiser besides my buell. Im down in the Auburn area
Welcome Thomas. Was looking at the thread about your bike. Really interesting bike. Good luck with it.
I'm driving my 550 around north Seattle
Thanks dude, yea she's an interesting one. It's kind of fun decoding the whole thing. Wish there was more info on parts identification, but hey, I bought her and a trailer for 500$ so I'm happy
I didn't get a trailer for my $500 Still got a good deal. Prices people ask for on bikes around here are ridiculous
