The cap/plug for the Seca 750 master cylinder is a plastic bolt with an Allen head. The plastic is soft enough that the Allen socket will eventually wear to the point that you can’t remove the cap. A quick and effective repair is to grab a key one size larger (5 mm is stock, so 6 mm is one size up), heat it with a torch and press it into the head of the cap to form a new socket. It should be good for another 40 years.

The Seca 750 uses a remote master cylinder that is mounted to the triple tree. Instead of a flat aluminum cover it uses a plastic socket-head bolt and an o-ring to seal the reservoir.

Got it. Melt the plastic socket cap head to the hot allen key.
