It would be great if we could hide signatures. Some of them are about 20 lines long or more and basically as tall as my screen.

Failing that can we can cap sigs to like 3 lines or less? (I know mine fowls that.)

Not so much hide, but how about maintain relevancy? HogFiddles, for instance, is off the hook. That IS his current stable.

When I first came aboard, I listed very motorcycle I ever owned. "Establishing creds" I guess. After a while it seemed excessive, so I pared it down to only what's in the garage right now, and a mention of my first bike. Relevancy reasonably restored.

I do not list my bicycle, my daughter's scooter, my car, truck, or pet. Why? NOT RELEVANT.

It is, after all, a motorcycle forum. So past bikes are OK if you insist. There is at least a modicum of relevancy there.

Sorry if I offended anyone. But seriously? C'mon now.

If you wanna play around, tweak your location or avatar. I'm really glad you're a member; I don't care about your cat. (Not you KDub, I'm speaking to the whole audience.)

Actually, No it is not. He has several parts bikes that are not on that list.

Wow, a guy can't have ANY secrets on this list!!!!

    Lol.... Just kidding :)

I enjoy seeing what people have in their signatures... It's just text info, so the signatures aren't taking up very much bandwidth anyway.

Signatures are apparently limited to one 20-character line. That is less than useful.

I hate ginormous signatures that clutter up threads as much as the next guy, but you should be at least able to list more than one bike.

Alternately, some other boards provide a separate place for listing your vehicles that shows up under the avatar.

what's up with that? we can't list all our bikes in our sig because there is a character limit that is too short.

    The model year is, of course, redundant, since an XJ550RJ is a 1982 model (J = 1982 in Yammy-code) and a K model is a 1983, etc.

    Everyone knows that, right?

    Right?

So that'll save you 6 positions, enough to list another one of your bikes! :)

20 characters is a silly low limit, and your flaunting it by having a significantly larger signature block than everyone else.

Well, I'm not flaunting anything, I just entered the info in the appropriate fields in my "personal info" field and there it is. I'm not the site owner or admin or anything like that, I'm just a user (I only have administration priveliges for my own "forum", the XJ PARTS vendor section; for everything else, I'm just a regular user!).

    Thanks for the update.

I doubt I'm going to pay just to have more stuff in my sig, though.

Don't get me wrong, when I can, I'll send some money because I want to support the site. It's just this specific thing isn't really much of a deciding factor for me.
