Here is my daughter's 650 Maxim. I bought it for her a year ago because she expressed an interest in learning to ride, but she's since changed her mind.

The bike's in nice shape, and is ready to ride anywhere. The bikes starts
easily and it runs very well. I just took it through emissions today and it
passed. Tires, brakes, lights, signals, etc. all work fine. The only
problem I know of is that the odometer is broken. The odometer is showing 35,200 miles, but the previous owner wasn't sure how many miles she had put on the bike after the odometer quit working.

As you can see by the pictures, a previous owner put a custom paint job on it, and I've gotten compliments on the bike whenever I ride it. The paint has a clear coat and is in excellent shape.

I just put a brand new battery in it, and the rear tire has very few miles on it. I also recently put a brand new fuse panel in, and I have the Yamaha factory service manual for it.

The previous owner is a friend and she rode it on a regular basis for several years. The bike always ran well and she took very good care of it,
keeping it garaged when she wasn't riding it.

I've had several of the Yamaha XJ motorcycles and they are dead reliable,
easy to work on and easy to get parts for. This bike is shaft drive, which
means it is very smooth and there's no chain to maintain!

Most XJs of this vintage average 45-55 MPG, so here is a reliable, cool and
economical way to get back and forth to work and have fun on the weekend.

Come by and check it out. If you are an experienced rider and are ready to buy, I'll let you take it for a spin before the deal is done.

I'm not looking to make money on ths bike, asking $999, so I've started the price low to begin with. Bring some cash and show it to me, and I might be willing to take less.

Sold! A guy called me at 10:30 PM and had cash in hand!

I suppose I should have asked more, but I still made a few hundred bucks profit.
