Some pics from the 1980's of my XJ

    Just thought I'd share these pics taken in 1986 of my original XJ550 and a friends XJ650 :D The gold on the switches and engine case on the XJ650 is real gold plating! My mates a polisher and chromer by trade. The second pic of the 650 is a fairly recent one after he pulled the bike from years of storage, hence the torn seat and sloppy mainstand.
    The pipe on my xj550 is a Laser. Its was loud and required no rejetting! The seat is a 2-4 type.

    That paint/seat on that 550 is awesome. I guess re-adjusting during long rides would be somewhat limited, but it's sharp looking nonetheless!

    A friend who is a chrome plater? It doesn't get much better than that! :)
