Not mine to sell but its local. Rough translation:

Complete 1982 Yamaha Maxim xj750 in good condition with 17573 miles*. Good compression, carburetor newly cleaned but needs adjustment. Tires are very good. No electrical problems. New oil in motor and in rear drive; changed this winter in anticipation of a new season. Not original paint and has a small bump on the "reservoir"** . Includes passenger backrest. I have registration and is presently plated. Does not require safety check***. Comes with two helmets. $650**** or best offer.

    * - could actually be km, meaning could be 11,500 miles
    **- (likely the gas tank)
*** - only applicable if sold within Province of Quebec
    **** - $650 CAD is now only about $525 U.S.D.

I'm willing to investigate further and perhaps even take a closer look at it if anyone on this list is interested. Notwithstanding the paint job, which can't be discerned by the photo, it looks to be garage kept and in very good cosmetic condition, making this a good deal IMHO.

Wasn't it Fitz who said $1 per CC is the going rate for running-but-needs-work? It looks to me like those brake lines might be new SS, which means they were probably recently rebuilt. I say offer $600 CAD and see what happens.

I think that is a constant among mc dismantlers. the local dm here in Washington says $1 per cc is all they will pay, running or not.

So basically this confirms that it's a steal at that price.

I've been looking at this ad myself, Yankees are definitely in a good position to be picking up things in the Canadian dollar haha although I don't know what kind of duties would need to be paid to bring it back across. Maybe even none!

None; if it works " both ways" , any vehicle older than 15 years old is imported into Canada from US duty free so I'd expect the same the other way around

NAFTA: North America Free Trade Agreement - means it's free to trade in North America. ;)
