Tach needle erratic.

    KMoe your probably right I know the 550 used cable but were all the 650 cable or were they electric?

    650 Maxim the tach was cable driven on the 81 and down models.

    Correct. Girlfriends 81 650 is cable driven and no yics, my 82 650 is electronic and has yics

    82 was the changeover year for the Maxim 650.

    Cable driven tachometers, I have a couple if your girlfriends doesn't work after lubing the cable.
