I would like to Thank everyone for a great visit and get together today.
We look forward to another oppertunity to visit with you again. It just shows that you DON'T have to ride a Harley to have a nice time and meet nice people like today.

Alrighty then... I'm all rested up. Boy, what a day of riding. As my wife puts it, "My sitter is sore!"

    Pictures? We gots 'em.

From Left to right: Loren's hands, Ken hiding behind the umbrella pole, Larry Jr. and Robin, Larry Sr.'s nose, and April

From Left to right: Loren's hamburger (Nummy!), Ken, Larry Jr., Avis and Larry Sr. (who's taken over hiding behind the umbrella pole), and April's hand.

Ken taking a picture of all of us. I wonder how that picture turned out, Ken? (hint, hint)

Eric, our very own international man of mystery and travel, all the way from Vancouver, BC. He gets the prize for furthest distance traveled!

Here's a slightly better shot of Loren. Across the table are the two Larrys.

This one's a tough one. In the background, off to the very left is Ken. Heading his direction wearing the latest in assless chaps is Jeff (j/k).
In front, L to R, Avis, Robin, Larry and Larry, Rick, Curtis, and Loren's forehead.

Curtis is signing the remembrance card for our friend and fallen rider, Bill. Rest in peace, Bill.

L to R: Larry Sr., Curtis, Rick, Ken, and Robin.

Here's Rick getting ready to head for Cabela's on his screaming Seca Turbo. That's right, I said Cabela's. I think the comment's were, "You can't come this far without stopping by Cabela's."

A little friendly ogling going on here.

I knew I missed someone. This is Christy. She rode two-up with Curtis on his Kawi Ninja.

A couple last pictures before we all headed for home.

It was great to see the several fine examples of Yamaha engineering. They're all great bikes and you guys should be proud.

Well, I guess that's about it for my pictures. I want to say thanks again to you all for coming to the Meet Up and also to Eagan's Drive In. The food was great and the gal that came out to take 700 photos of us was a real sport about it.

Loren, thanks for shepherding the card and camera onto its next destination.

We had a great time and I'm excited about next year's get together. Ride safe everyone.

I had a great time meeting everyone! Only wish that it could have been under happier circumstances. Weather couldn't have been more agreeable and, for her maiden voyage, Hilda pleased me very much

Nicely done on the pics Ken! As you may have guessed I made it home just fine with my 'little parcel' from Cabela's strapped to the back!

True story here: I was just cruising along on I5 south of Longview when a car pulled up to my left. The dude was smiling, waving hello, and snapping pictures.

I guess he had just never seen a chunky dude wearing a gray helmet and silver gray riding togs on a motorcycle before. It's the only thing I can figure! :)

Thanks for the props all! I gotta say (yet again) I had a great time!! What a great bunch of folks we have in the NW! Can't wait to do it again!

HA!! Loren, you should have seen what you looked like when we passed you up on the highway!! If I would have been thinking, I would have had my camera out too! That'll teach you not to bring your sidecar! Hope that you are over that bug you were dealing with on the ride.

    Cheers All

Carlos, probably not till next year, what with fall approaching rapidly and the wet weather returning.

am headed north to Sequim/Port Angelese and the 101/112 loop will be my last ride of the year on the turbo I think, then its into the shop for a solid winter of paint and repair.

Pacific North wet is close at hand

    Hi, all

I have started putting together something for a Vancouver, BC area meet up.

Some early possibilities to move the planning ahead:

The Canadian Victoria Day holiday falls on Monday, May 24 so perhaps Saturday May 22 or Sunday May 23 so XJ'ers from both sides of the border could attend.

Alternatives would be the weekend before or the weekend after if the holiday weekend would interfere with family events up here.

IF we can get a time pinned down, we can then work on a location and group event.

I am willing to work on this from this end with your help to keep me busy enough to stop buying more XJ bikes

    Eric

May of next year you say? Yeah, it'll be close, but I should be able to get my passport taken care of by then. ;)

Eric, my experience with putting together one of these things is to just do it. If people can make it, they'll come. It's too difficult to try and pick a time/date when everyone will be available.

Pick a date in May and I'll make every effort to be there.

I'm also kicking around a few ideas for a meet up for sometime in late June for down here. A Saturday & Sunday type thing with a ride and everything. :D

    Stay tuned...

    Hi, Don

After consulting with YVRxj650, we now have a firm date for the Vancouver, BC meet up :Saturday, May 29, 2010

Mark your calendar and start looking for that passport application.

You will have to remove your helmet for the passport photo :)

This year has gotten away from me. April and I are pretty booked through the middle of September.
