    saw this 1980/1981xj650 Maxim today on my way home after a music conference today....unfortunately I had no time to stop and ask about it--- oh well-- I have several others already anyway, but if I'm in that area again-- I'll try to stop and ask :)

    Looks like a bargain bike hiding on the side of the house.

    So Dave, do you get a 'Spidey' sense tingling whenever you are within a half mile of an XJ that needs to be rescued?

    Where do you folks live that you see XJ's? I've only seen one other XJ in my area in 20 years.

    Then again, I'm not on the edge of nowhere, but you can see it from here.:cool:

    currently 23 XJ's for sale on Kijiji within 200 kms of me. I'm about 100 kms from Toronto.
    26 if you count Seca 2's.

    I just did a proper search of Kijiji for all of Ontario using Yamaha, 550-900, 1980-1987 and 335 adds came up. After eliminating the XV's and XS's, probably about 100 were actually XJ's for sale. Spotted an 87 FZ600 which would have been a much better starting point than the one I have, I hate when that happens.

    Sigh. Guy in Ottawa has 650 max listed on kijiji. Been up for weeks. He's starting to get desperate. His safety inspection is expiring soon. Keeps dropping the price. It is a clean example, for less than i spent on the Rebel. Now there's no room in the garage or the wallet. Well, actually, there's plenty of room in the wallet.
