wow ,,they're brass, did'nt know that.

    the oil pipe unions ,that is,

    so, i started to clean up my oil cooler pipes, as part of my ongoing restoration, i put the union ends on the wire wheel,, the ones that bolt onto either side of the oil filter housing, and i discovered they are made of brass, or maybe a gun metal.
    anyhow i decided to clean and buff them up and they came out amazing.
    i will definately keep them shinny, i may clearcoat over them,
    not heard this mentioned on here before.

    Pretty cool. You probably don't see it mentioned because a lot of us don't have oil coolers. But it's definitely something I'd like to put on mine if I get a chance.

    Those do look nice, I will have to see if the FJ pipes I picked up to mod my 550 are the same. Should have a write up on it mid-Dec.
