Hi all. New uk member here. Got a 550 maxim looking very tidy.
I have an issue with the neutral light on all the time. Checked all switches ok but still on. Any ideas appreciated.

It is very easy to pinch the neutral wire under the chain cover. Been there done that.

the s/b sky blue wire runs to neutral switch and to diode block as well as the starter circuit cut off relay then to clutch safety switch.

bad clutch safety switch could be a problem or the sb wire running up back of motor could be shorting

    bad diode block

check to make sure you have correct relay plugged in to the connector for the starter circuit cut off relay.

Hi do you have a picture of both sides of the connectors for the Diode block? I have an 81-83 XJ550 and only 5 wires. All the ones I’ve seen posted have 6-8 wires

    much appreciated
