How are the starters in these i wonder?

I can see why they called it the XV... See the chain guard? Reminds me of the enclosed chain case the old ones had. I'd like to try one, but bring on the new XJ! All they need to do is drop in inline 4 in a chassis like that :/

The engine and starter have no reltionship to the XV920/Virago, aside from being a V-Twin. The engine in the Bolt is the same one that has been used in the the V-Star 950 since 2009. Most of the reviews I've read about the Bolt make it seem like a perfect clone of the Sportster
If Yamaha had made the Bolt with the Sportster R in mind I'd be interested.

I've been eyeing up the bolt. It seems to improve on a few weaknesses of the sportster. Less vibration, more accelleration.

I would really love to see a new XJ too!

Looks too much like a Harley, wish they would have brought back something looking more like the original. My 1982 XV920RJ with "can of rocks" starter sound included.

Yep and with an 8" headlight. I always liked the red one better; and I've always wanted one. Nice bike; but I think Yamaha must have sold maybe about two dozen of them here.

That new thing looks like a Harley Sportster.

The xv950 was just released in the Netherlands (maybe europe) and I just saw one at a dealership. At first I was thinking it was the reincarnation of my xj700 mixed with a sportster. Off course the xv badge set me straight. Still I think the overall lines and little bend in the fuel tank remind me of xj. I love the look, seating position is good too, but the saddle a bit thin and hard. Feels like a quality bike but at 10.000,- € way out of my league. Maybe in 25 years, just like my xj.
