    well i own a xj650 82 seca
    but it is still at the dealers
    i wanna know if it has yics ir not?

    If it's a 82 it should have it. Your bike will have YICS on the Valve Cover and on the Oil pump cover. I think only the 1980 XJ650 SECA didn't have it.

    aha! if it dont say yics it dont have it?

    from the haynes manual i understoo it didn't.

    also it doesn't say yics on cover i checked!!

    well if it sont im kinda glad so it's simpler

    Make sure to check for YICS on the Valve cover which is on top of the engine. Also if your valve cover has over 12 bolt holes on the top of the Valve cover it does not have YICS. I think early models had 20 bolt holes but could be wrong on that number.

    Look on the left side of your cylinder towards the back. If it has YICS there should be a bolt/plug in the cylinder. A 12mm socket fits it.
