ZDDP?

    I know that normally the rule of thumb is “no friction modifiers” if you have a wet clutch, but from what I understand, ZDDP was used in almost all regular oils before companies started getting pressured by EPA standards, something to do with prolonging catalytic converter life.
    If that’s true, than these engines were made to run with what now would be considered a ZDDP Additive, right?

    Absolutely !! The Rotella-T available at Wally World is a commercial grade of Diesel oil, that is sold by the gallon, and exceeds every spec and expectation of a normal XJ.

    It won't ruin either the starter clutch or the "big" clutch

    Your cams and valves will be happy.

    I'll second the Rotella-T. My Seca likes it better than anything else
