hello i have a 83 xj750 seca that has the cable brake lever installed (original for that bike) with a remote master cylinder. i am trying to mount or install a regular master cylinder on the bars. does anyone know of one that will fit that particular bike with it being the controls don't have the cutout for the brake lever behind it.??

I'm looking to do the same, but am thinking about putting on new bars. I would be interested in an answer to your question too, may save me a few bucks for the new bars!

the new master cylinder you purchase will come with it's own lever. You should be able to use your stock ignition switch set up if that is what you mean. Just about any 7/8" bar type maste cyl. will fit. the you will have to get new longer brake lines from the master Cyl, to the calipers.

I'm trying to do the same thing but can't find a new MC that will fit the original bars without changing all the switches and bars over

i used a fj1200 master cylinder and used the stock right side controls, but you have to cut the old lever and perch off to allow the new lever room. you can pretty much use any MC that is for 7/8's bars and a 5/8's bore.

you can check my build thread for pictured and info on how i did it
