Looking good! I just did an in frame paint on mine. It's not nearly as detailed as your's but after 34 years in the body shop business I've gotten really good at tight taping. :)

Absolutely beautiful! While we are on this subject, how was the KG and Eastwood products to work with? I want to do the same to mine this winter but was recommended the PJ1 3 or 4 step system? Any thoughts from anyone?

a few things i found out, save up some bottle tops some are just the right size to plug exhaust ports, putty of some kind and a bottle top and it's sealed
    duct tape for intakes
aircraft stripper in a spray can sucks, too much over spray. i found stripper in a can that comes with a pump bottle, thats the stuff
power washer is the way to take it off, i can't imagine any other way
strip about 3 times then wire brush then scotch brite right before paint the bare aluminum oxidizes fast
when it looks like "maybe i shouldn't paint it" then it's time to paint
paint on the lower half of the case is tougher than the rest, powder coat maybe ?
i used a air brush, don't know how you could get in the fins good without runs with anything else, a spray can cant get between the alternator and the block or under the starter, too much paint too fast
the Eastwoods is great nicest paint i sprayed, 2 part urathane. bought a quart and hardener mixed 8 tablespoons had some left
the gun kote is like opaque lacquer thinner that covers in one coat
permanent, can't be removed with chemicals

Hey Polock, that looks clean & sharp! Once I get mine running solid I'm thinking about a powder coat or maybe opting for a paint job like yours. Thanks for the ideas and the pictures. Kinda lets the rest of us see what can be done with just a bit of work.

Looks fantastic!!! I should probably do something like that on my project bike... Don't know that I have the patience though. That's a LOT of work getting between all the fins on the motor!! Props to those of you that have done it!! I don't know that I would powder coat anything on the engine though, unless it was just areas where there are no part joints. Can you imagine what a pain in the @$$ it would be trying to get that apart 8O

Good work Polock....looks like the completion date on my bike just got set back another couple weeks ;)
