    To be honest, the best source of information would be the company that builds them. Send them an email and see what they say. Unless someone on here has bought a set for an 82 XJ 650 recently.

    Well, for starters they're for 43mm forks, your XJ has 36mm.

    The stem length / diameter is probably different - which means new bearings / spacers.

    The width between the forks will no doubt be wider than your XJ - which means a new axle, spacers, disc mount, mudguard mounts, etc.

    Other than that they should bolt straight up :lol:
