Finally convinced my boss to let me bring in some old jap bikes to work on/flip/part out/etc.

Saw a 650 maxim on cl for 650$ with a title

I called him up, asked what the lowest he would go, he said 300, I offered 250, he accepted.

Went to go pick it up, and saw some others.... So after an hour or two of haggling and what not, I bought the whole lot for 1200$

Three of them have titles, the maxim, the blue Suzuki, and the black Kawasaki.

The red Honda has a title but the PO couldn't find it at the time, so he's gonna keep looking and if he can't find it we'll just head to the DMV and file for a replacement no biggie.

Ill throw up some pics in a following post, I'm just on my phone so it's kinda a pain, lol.

Needless to say though, it was a great day! :D

Also, if you know what any of these bikes are for sure, let me know, lol. I haven't even tried figuring it out yet but if you know off the top of your head that's pretty rad.

    Honda CX500

    Some Kawasaki

    Some Suzuki:

    Some other Kawasaki:

    Some Honda:

The maxim, more on that later
    [IMG]

XS400, ratted out, painted ugly, but she fires right up and even does a burnout hahaha

    Another XS400
    [IMG]

    And that's the lot!

So for 150$ a bike, I'm pretty pleased, lol

So I really wish the xs400 had a title, that's a sweet bike. Might file fore a replacement, we'll see.

So he said the maxim was running last year, but couldn't get it to start now because the starter button broke. So I pulled the one off the xs400(same exact switch/plug/direct swap and boom, she fired right up.

After: (I took the seat cover off to send to my guy to get a replacement made)

    Original key and everything.

Good/new rubber on the back, but will need new front tire, bars are bent, mirrors, a reflector, and other than that she's complete.

Obviously valves and I'm going to go through the carbs anyway, and then the laundry list of safety tasks, but other than that she's a solid machine.

The 4-1 has a nice ring to it, looks pretty new actually.

Anyway, I was just excited and had to share, have a great night!

Only other thing, I'm assuming whoever put the 4-1 on yanked off the center stand, which is pretty dumb, and I'm wondering if its not compatible, or were they just too lazy to put it back on? If the latter, I would find one off a parted out bike and throw it on. But obviously if it won't fit with the 4-1 then screw it, lol.

My XJ 650 Maxim has a 900 Seca motor with a Jardine 4 into 1. With Center stand. So I don't know why yours was removed. The only thing I had to do was fabricate a stop for the stand to keep it off the pipe.

Nice work,Your not married are you? Or just really really brave. That bwas one hell of a wash job too.
I know over here some brands of 4-1 would allow a C/stand some not.Just like some would allow a filter change without being taken off and some wouldn't.
That Kwaka with the chin spoiler would that be an LTD and is it shaft or chain ?
Although that chin spoiler is a bit odd for a soft chop.
The Suzuki is either an GS850 or 1000 pretty much the same bike generally again Shaft or chain?
Hard really to tell dark pics lack of detail besides the fact we had different model names for the same bikes quite often.
The silver Kwaka if it has a shaft a 550/750GT a chain Z550/750.
Just guessing but they are all solid and well liked reliable UJM's damn such a haul would keep me grinning for months.
