    Just wanted to stop in and say hello. I've actually been reading this forum for several weeks. Just got my XJBikes Green Card, Thanks Mad_B @ GHC for the assistance!
    I'm down on the plains in Auburn, AL and found the bike listed on craigslist for $700. A college kid had it sitting under a tarp outside his house. Told me he ran out of gas on hwy 280 and never could get it running again. Said the reserve line was broken, it has no rear brakes and needs a new battery. Got it for $100. Took her home, charged the battery while doing a VERY basic carb cleaning using 1 can of wal-mart brand carb cleaner. After reassembling carbs and realizing the petcock was damaged and the starter solenoid was bad, I ran some fresh fuel to her and jumped the solenoid with a flat head and she purrrrrred like a 600LB Cheetah! Now I know she runs.... and so the build begins.
