    Leadboots,
You can cut out all those plastic connectors to make some room (solder and heat shrink the wires together) If you are getting rid of that square headlight, you cn re-locate the horns and put the wires inside the new (round) headlight housing. PD

I got a new round headlight 7" but there is not room inside for wires...Might bring it back. I did want all the wire inside the light cleans the front end up alot.

I used a piece of thick black plastic (like the stuff mud flaps are made out of) to cover the wires between the fork tubes. Being it's black, nobody sees it or the wires.

Basically, we're just making the bikes our own. Everyone has their own idea of what they'd like their bike to be. It's just easier than start building a bike from scratch. You already have the main parts, so you just change the stuff you don't like and make it fit you.
I wanted to make mine more comfortable to ride and cut off the stuff I didn't like on it. Sometimes it doesn't turn out just right, so you change a few things and "whalla" there you have it.
Mine has gone thru several transformations and I finally got it to where I like it now.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I put a lot of thought into what I wanted to do ***BEFORE*** I "just started cutting". I didnt accidently knock over 3 cans of paint and unintentionaly create a new color.

    Re: Seca rod updated pics

I've always done the research first before cutting. I sat on the bike and figured how I wanted to be sitting (hands, feet and seat) I didn't just start cutting. You need some kind of plan and what better place to get ideas than on the 'puter! There are alot of parts from other bikes that will fit (or close enough to make fit) so the posibilities are endless. So far my bike looks the way I wanted it to look. I dont think anyone really just starts cutting up there bike without a plan. That just doesnt seem like a very good idea to me and most of the people here lol.

I will have some updated pics tomorrow been sick for a few days....

These bobbers or choppers or whatever you want to call them some look really great. BUT there is no way we could legally ride em on the road over here in Oz, Might as well paint a big target on your back and scream "Bust me"
You guys got any rego requirements at all?

Mines legal. All we need are mirrors, lights and a horn. My exhaust is legal too. Infact, my lights are brighter than the stock ones, so I feel it's safer now.

Re: Seca rod added pics headlight and seat

    Leadboots,
I have some constuctive opinions if I may...
That headlight does not have a high/low beam right? I used one of those when I first re-did mine too. It just show's a spot on the road and does not work good for a headlight (and you can't tone it down with a dim for oncoming traffic) I ended up getting a used light from another bike (it fit inside the same housing) that uses a halogen bulb in it...much better and it has high/low feature.
Also, those signal lights seem to stick out like big ol' rabbit ears! Are you planning on doing something with those? Just wondering. PD

Re: Seca rod added pics headlight and seat

I switched out the light in the headlight with my hi/low beam from my other headlight.

Yes i am getting rid of the blinkers just usin them for a saftey. Then I am get smaller ones.
