I got these cheap since the guy didn't know what they go to. The labels are off the bags. They are not going to work so I'd like to sell them. Any ideas?

Do they not fit the tank on your bike? Mine are gold but they look the same otherwise.

Might be for a seca tank. If they are I'll buy them if the price is right.

I am on my way to jersey now to work on the bike. I can take a photo of mine to compare.

Nope. The holes do not line up and the spacing is different. I bought them because they looked similar. I could drill it but the original badges had a nice curve that I cannot replicate with these.

is there a Yamaha part number on the package? That will tell for sure what they fit.

The XS and XJ11 holes are offset k-moe. They kind of look like they might fit but I doubt it. I held one of mine next to the pic and I and a little doubtful.

XS650 holes aren't offset, but one hole is in the A of YAMAHA (forgot about that) depending on the year.

Seca 650 and 750 badges stick-on, so no holes.

    Does @chacal know?

Definitely not XS. Bought a set of those as well by accident (stupid 12% beers). Seller was gracious enough to take a return on those.

From the ones that chacal (Len) sells, his catalog says that only the XJ550, XJ650 Maxim and Midnight Maxim, and the XJ1100 use screws to attach. The others use adhesive. So that should maybe narrow it down...unless it's for something totally different that Len doesn't carry emblems for.

This thread can be used as a safety warning against the dangers of drinking and ebaying. I have ordered parts in the past, and then woke (sobered) up and had to scramble to find out if I needed a new bike to match the things I'd purchased. My name is Matti, and I have a problem. ..

The only way that you can find out which bike fits those badges is to keep buying bikes until you find one that fits the badge. It would be a shame to waste a good badge.

That's how I got my Atlas lathe, which happens to be one of my better purchases.

Detective k-moe for the win. That pic is exactly what I have regarding hole position and texture. I'll see if I can dig up a part number later on partzilla and see what else it might fit.

Ditto on the surprise ebay purchases!

The RX100 have the screw holes aligned horizontally, and thus they'll sit "crooked" once installed on the XJ550/XJ650 Maxim tanks.....you'll have to drink more 12% beer to make them look correct!

I carefully marked, redrilled, and heated to get them to fit. Chrome does not appear to be an option and for what I had into these it was worth a shot.
