Hello, Went to synch my carbs today for the first time after getting my barn find running. Followed the instructions for the Motion Pro Manometer, hooked up all 4 tubes, put the small brass plugs in the end like it stated, calibrated the manometer per manual then put the rubber tubes on the vacuum ports and got going. When I went to adjust the pilot air screw the reading on the manometer didnt raise or lower however I could hear the engine running differently.

Do I need to remove the brass plugs? Am I turning the wrong screw? I believe I forgot to take my anti-idiot dose today and can't figure out what Im missing. Thanks!

The brass restrictors stay in the vacuum lines.

The pilot screws are for adjusting the fuel mixture.

The synch screws are between the carbs on the throttle shafts.

Reset the pilot mixture screws back to baseline (or colortune if you have one), and start over.

Some times you need to hold it upside down. I'm not sure if it is a compression thing or what. I had to do that for another member's bike yesterday. Sometimes giving the throttle a little blip helps too.

If you hold a Motion Pro manometer upside down the fluid runs out onto the shop floor.

Thanks! The manual did warn against the fluid leaking so I didn't do that! haha. Shop floor saved.

I just did my own synch for the first time with this homemeade manometer. About $30 in parts to build.

I used 40 ft of tubing to ensure I could avoid sucking atf fluid into a carb. Use rubber hose for last foot to attach to bike or tube will melt and collapse.
