I am posting pics in my gallery right now of some new mods I've made. I got some nice looking 24 LED signals from Ebay that I am really happy with so far. The only thing I'm iffy about is that they're carbon fiber. I might still scuff them up and paint them semi-gloss black like everything else on the bike. That will be a hard thing to do to brand new signals though, so I'm going to wait and see if the carbon fiber grows on me.

I also put in a 3w high discharge LED tail light. It is at least as bright as a standard 1157 bulb and has a good wide discharge pattern. The first LED tail light I tried was a 11 LED bulb from AutoZone and it looked awful. It wasn't very bright at all, and worse yet, the light was so directional, none was going back to the reflector so it didn't light up the whole housing. It made for a dimmer, smaller taillight. Not what I was looking for. :)

The bucket is the one that has been talked about on here in some other thread from caferace.com. The quality seems nice for the price. It's Emgo, and I haven't seen that particular bucket anywhere else. Right now I just put in the Halogen bulb that came with the lens, but I'm thinking of going HID Xenon. Anybody done this and have pics? I don't want to go too blue. I hate those rice rockets with Halogen bulbs that are just colored blue. What a joke. I'm a little concerned that I might have to upgrade some wiring for the Xenon though. They draw more amps, right?

Anyway, the next thing I'm going to do is black out the engine. The fins are starting to rust (I wish I had a garage) and I want to do something about it before they get too hard to clean. Then I want to clean up my exhaust collars and bolts and coat them in hi-temp clear to keep them from rusting.

Last but not least, I've ordered a smooth seat cover. After making these other modernizing changes, I just feel like the stock seat with the ribs and grab strap are just too dated.

Is anybody interested in my 8" stock headlight and bucket? I was gonna put it on Ebay but if somebody here wants it make me an offer. It's in good shape. I'll take pics for anyone who is interested. Same goes for the seat cover after I change it. It's in great shape. No cracks or tears anywhere.

Thanks. I am really satisfied with how the headlight turned out. There sure were a lot of wires hiding behind that great big 8" bucket. I tied most of them into a bundle and wrapped them up with heat shrink tape. The deep headlight bucket hid that pretty well though. I thought about relocating the rear turn signals, but the stalks are so short on the new ones I couldn't think of a good place that wouldn't limit visibility or put them too close together for my tastes.

I did a round conversion on my seca and the wires were a huge unforeseen headache. They even hid the horns inside the seca's head light, so there was lots of stuff to move around. Your solution turned out well. I think I need to spend some time on mine, but it is functional for now.

How bright are the turn signals, and did you get them on Eay?

Yeah I got them on Ebay. Seller luckybike-accesories. I'll take a picture of them lit up at night.

The conversion on my bike was easier than your rectangular conversion because my bike is a 650 and already came with a round light, just an ugly (in my opinion) 8" one.

The big headlights are a good commodity, I think you should get some cash for them if you sell it on E-Greed. :)
